All About Threadlocker Medium Strength
ThreadLocker-Medium Strength (Part #ATL1)
This BLUE material is a medium strength anaerobic adhesive used to hold fasteners (usually metal) into place. Anaerobic adhesives are the opposite of most adhesives because they cure with an ABSENCE of air! CONTACT WITH METAL also ACCELERATES the curing process! This is a key reason why the amount of material in the containers is NOT full and why you SHOULD NOT use the metal tips with neither the #ATL1 nor the #ATL2.
Once you use the material, it is always a good idea to pull/draw air back INTO the Precision Shot container by pulling back lightly on the plunger. Because of the nature of the materials, both the #ATL1 and the #ATL2 have a relatively short shelf life. This shelf life is very volatile (2-8 months in most cases) since the amount of airspace in the container can change upon each use.
Unfortunately, this is just the nature of the material and its characteristics, however, keeping in mind that this is what it is intended to do.
